Dr. Alison Tam

dr. allison tamDr. Alison Tam attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences. After graduation in 2001, she began her first residency in Family Medicine at Mesa General Hospital – Midwestern University. Dr. Tam was selected as Chief Resident of the family medicine residency and successfully completed her family medicine board certification in 2004.

After Dr. Tam’s first residency, she chose to do a second residency in Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery at Kingman Regional Medical Center – Midwestern University. There, she spent an additional three years training in general medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, hair transplant, lasers, dermatological surgery, and Mohs micrographic surgery.

During her residency in Dermatology, Dr. Tam was again selected as Chief Resident. Because she was the primary surgeon in hundreds of Mohs micrographic surgeries, she was given the honor of taking the American Society of Mohs Surgery boards prior to graduating and became a fellow of the board immediately after graduation.

Dr. Allison Tam is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Osteopathic Family Medicine, and American Osteopathic Association. She has earned fellow status in the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and American Society of Mohs Surgery. Her articles and research have been published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

Dr. Tam joined Drs. Anson and Higgins in 2010 to lead the Cosmetic Laser and Hair Transplant departments.
