Dr. Higgins, a Las Vegas native, earned his MD degree from the University of Texas where he was awarded “Most Outstanding Medical Student”. He was also awarded one of the most prestigious medical accolades with his induction into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the medical honor society.

Dr. Higgins then went on to complete his general surgery training and plastic surgery training through Michigan State University. He received regional and national recognition for his research in plastic surgery. His research has been published in multiple media's. He served on the Michigan State faculty and was awarded for his dedication as “Most Outstanding Resident Faculty Teacher” in the surgical department. He was then invited to further his training at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. At the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Higgins perfected his skills in the latest techniques of body liposculpture, breast surgery, and facial rejuvenation.
